Preview and publish an AI website draft
A saved website draft is different from the theme visitors currently see. Use an authorized Connected AI client with website publish access to validate and preview the intended draft before publication.
Validate and compare
Ask the client to validate the theme and summarize the draft/live differences. Resolve blocking validation errors. Review warnings about empty or unlinked pages, unavailable store modules, dark-mode support, shared parts, and settings that differ from the live site. Validation is a static check; it does not prove a browser interaction or visual layout passed.
Open the private preview
Ask for the owner preview link and open it yourself. The supported link lasts 30 minutes and is valid only for the exact draft version that created it. It displays a **Preview — not live** bar. Check the changed pages, header and footer, mobile layout, guest/member access, links, and relevant popups. Request a new preview after any draft edit.
Confirm publication
After review, explicitly tell the AI client to publish that draft. The publish flow first returns a summary, then uses a short-lived confirmation for the exact content. If the draft changed, repeat validation and preview rather than confirming an earlier summary. Successful publishing updates the live web bundle and records a version; it does not publish the mobile-app bundle.
Check the public site
Leave preview mode or open a separate normal visitor view and confirm the published behavior. A link having been generated, an editor save, or a static validation result is not evidence that publication succeeded. Keep the published theme/version reference for follow-up.
