Create or update a custom website page with AI
Use a Connected AI client with website edit access after preparing the intended theme draft. Ask it to list existing pages first so a new About, Contact, or information page does not duplicate one already present.
Create the page
Provide the title, content, intended audience, and whether it should be draft or published within the theme. Ask the client to use the supported custom-page flow and return the actual generated URL. A title is required; the page alias can be derived from it. New images must be uploaded to the workspace media library before the page uses their returned URLs.
Change settings without rewriting content
For an existing page, ask the AI to read its settings and update only the title, SEO description, keywords, summary, or access that you requested. Title/SEO-only edits preserve the page URL. Changing the slug or alias is a separate URL change; it can update matching internal menu links but does not create a redirect for external links or bookmarks.
Choose who can view it
Decide whether the page is public or restricted to selected existing client groups. Do not assume hiding a navigation link is the same as restricting the page itself. Check the result as a guest and as a member of the intended group.
Make it reachable
Ask the client to add the returned URL to the correct header/footer navigation when a menu link is needed. Validate and preview the draft, including the actual page address, before publishing the theme. A page record saved in a theme does not by itself prove the live site has been published.
