Connect an existing service to the right supplier item
Create and synchronize the supplier connection first. Then open the existing catalog service in the **Order Automation** tab. Prepare the supplier’s exact product/service identity and required order fields.
Connect the service
1. On **Order Automation**, select **Add source**, then choose **Supplier API**.
2. Select the intended supplier connection and exact supplier product/service.
3. Review required fields, purchase cost and currency. Use **Edit Supplier** to open connection settings if needed.
4. Add or save the source, then save the product.
5. Reopen it and confirm the intended primary source and source order.
Use **Orders → Supplier APIs → Synchronize** when the supplier list needs refreshing. A supplier service’s display name is useful context, but it does not replace the saved supplier-service identifier. Add another source only when it is an equivalent fulfillment option for the same customer request.
Automatic field synchronization can update the order inputs to match what the supplier expects. If you intentionally maintain your own fields, review manual field-sync mode and mappings. Do not connect a similar-looking service with different requirements simply to make a missing mapping disappear.
Connecting the catalog service governs fulfillment configuration. It does not automatically cancel or rewrite an already-submitted order at the old supplier. Existing orders must be reconciled separately before changing their API.
**Expected result:** the service stores the intended supplier and service mapping and has compatible order inputs. If the service is unavailable, refresh supplier data, inspect the correct category and ensure the driver exposes that service type.
