Understand profit reports and order breakdowns

Open **Reports > Profit Reports**. Use the appropriate view: **Net Profit**, **Profit by Product**, **Profit by Category**, **Profit by Client**, or **Order Profit Breakdown**. Set an explicit Date range before comparing periods.

Choose the scope

Net Profit provides an order-level view with Purchase Cost, Amount, Discount, and Net Profit. Product, Category, and Client reports group the result and offer their corresponding selector plus Currency and Date range. Order Profit Breakdown offers Date range, Currency, Client, Product, and Category, then shows the detailed order amounts.

Interpret the calculation

The current Net Profit and Order Profit Breakdown calculations use successful orders with a positive recorded purchase cost. Net profit is the recorded order amount minus discount and purchase cost. An order without a qualifying recorded cost can therefore be absent. Inspect cost recording and order state when comparing the report with the full order list.

**Wallet Used** in Order Profit Breakdown identifies wallet-funded order value. It is shown separately and is not another expense to subtract from the calculated net profit. Deducting it again would double-count the funding method. Compare the original currency values and the currency breakdown when totals are converted.

Investigate a margin

1. Match date, currency, and grouping between reports.

2. Find the detailed order row.

3. Open the order and compare its amount, discount, recorded purchase cost, and status.

4. Compare the invoice/payment separately if the question concerns cash receipt.

5. Refresh after correcting a verified underlying record through its normal workflow.

These are operational reports from recorded order data. They do not independently establish gateway settlement, supplier payment, tax liability, or complete accounting expenses. Keep the report scope with any figures shared for review.
