Refund rejected order invoice items
For an order invoice, **Refund** works with eligible rejected items and their outstanding wallet refund credits. Rejecting an order belongs to the order workflow; the invoice Refund action does not reject an active or completed service for you.
Check eligibility
Open the invoice, choose Refund, and let the summary load. Review each line’s Status, Refundable amount, and any blocked reason. A selected order needs a rejected status and an outstanding wallet refund to reverse. Already-refunded items and mismatched amounts require investigation rather than another refund.
Review and process
1. Select only the intended refundable order rows.
2. Check fee rows too: they can be selected automatically when all main items are selected.
3. Choose **Manual refund processed externally** only after independently processing the outside refund, then enter its real **Transaction / Reference ID**.
4. Alternatively choose **Original payment method** when the summary enables it for that payment. Check paid date, refundable amount/currency, and provider references.
5. Review Selected Refund, Wallet balance debit, Existing wallet credit retained, and External refund to record.
6. Choose **Refund selected**, read Refund confirmation, and confirm **Process refund** once.
7. Verify invoice transactions, wallet ledger, order records, and provider status.
This flow reverses the selected existing order wallet credits so an external refund does not leave those credits available as well. Do not also rebate the wallet manually. Insufficient wallet credit or a blocked gateway can stop the action.
If the response is uncertain, reload the refund summary and inspect the provider before retrying. A recorded refund or accepted provider request is different from the recipient confirming settlement. Original-payment refunds are conditional, not available for every gateway or payment.
