Rebate funds from a client wallet

**Rebate funds** deducts account credit from the client’s wallet. It does not send an external refund or pay a withdrawal. Decide whether you need a direct balance adjustment or the invoice’s refund workflow before proceeding.

Record a rebate

1. Confirm the client, current wallet balance, and reason for the deduction.

2. Open **Rebate funds**.

3. Select Currency and enter a positive Amount to deduct.

4. If relevant, choose **Related invoice (optional)**. The list includes eligible invoices for this client in the selected currency. It is a reference for the rebate.

5. Use **Use full balance** only when the entire displayed positive balance should be removed.

6. Check Estimated balance after, choose **-Rebate Credit**, read the deduction confirmation, and confirm once.

7. Refresh and check the wallet debit and linked records.

Avoid a second deduction

Invoice refunds can include their own wallet debit or reversal. Inspect the refund summary and ledger before adding a separate rebate. Selecting a related invoice here does not itself refund its gateway payment or prove an outside refund happened.

Missing invoice or rejected action

Check the selected currency, client, eligible invoice status, and your wallet-management permission/allowance. Do not switch to an unrelated invoice just to complete a deduction. If the request times out, review the ledger and balance before retrying. For a provider payment return, use the eligible invoice Refund action or your independently verified provider process.
