Set membership display and expiry behavior
In membership setup, **Client display** controls how tiers appear and how membership expiry is handled. Review these choices before activating or changing an existing program.
Describe each tier
1. Open the intended tier in Client display.
2. Enter **Display name** and **Client description**.
3. Add **Plan benefits**, one per line, up to six. Describe real access or pricing benefits.
4. Choose **Card color** and review Client preview.
5. Set **Tier active** and **Offer to clients** deliberately. For paid plans, use **Mark recommended** for at most one tier.
6. For paid plans, decide whether to **Show memberships before sign-in**.
7. Review and save the program using the intended draft or activation action.
When qualification or membership expires
Choose the available policy shown in Client display. **Keep briefly, then move to base** uses Grace days. **Move to base immediately** has no grace period. **Wait for staff review** leaves the change for review. **Keep until staff changes it** requires manual handling. Check the Base group before selecting a downgrade policy because it defines the destination.
Changing an existing program
Review current members and protected assignments before changing the ladder or expiry policy. Check Review Changes afterward to see the proposed result. Editing the client-facing benefits does not itself change service configuration or perform a financial refund.
If activation fails, return to the highlighted step. Typical checks include missing visible-tier names, repeated groups, invalid prices or thresholds, and multiple recommended plans. A saved draft is different from an active published program.
