Troubleshoot domain validation and HTTPS

Open **Settings → General → DNS Status** for the domain currently linked to your workspace. Use the values returned for your workspace; do not copy DNS targets from another store or an old setup screenshot.

Pending or invalid domain

1. Choose **Reload** and read each hostname's **Notes**.

2. Compare the required CNAME and TXT records with the DNS provider's actual records. Check both the record name and full target value.

3. Remove conflicting records only after confirming what the hostname should serve.

4. Keep required ownership and certificate-validation records in place.

5. Reload again after the DNS change has propagated and test HTTPS on the intended hostname.

The site works but renewal has a warning

A hostname can be active while a certificate-renewal validation record is missing. Follow the current validation notes and restore the required record. An active site today does not make that warning safe to ignore.

Export or unlink

**Export DNS Records** downloads the records supplied for the linked setup. **Unlink Domain** removes that domain association after confirmation. Use it only when you intend to stop using the hostname with this workspace; it is not a refresh action and does not edit the DNS provider's zone for you.

Information for support

Provide the hostname, displayed status, last-checked date, and the specific validation note. Keep DNS account passwords and API tokens private. If the admin site still works while only your custom hostname fails, report that distinction along with the affected storefront or API hostname.
