Fulfill a service from digital inventory
Create an active digital inventory group and add usable stock first. Then open the service’s the **Order Automation** tab area. You need permission to edit the service and its fulfillment sources.
Connect the source
1. Select **Add source** and choose **Digital Inventory**.
2. Select the intended inventory group, create the group in **Products → Digital Inventory** first if required.
3. Verify that the group’s contents match the advertised service and customer result.
4. Review the service’s selling price, enabled groups and input requirements.
5. Save and reopen the service to confirm the group mapping.
Use one group for interchangeable fulfillment items of the same intended offer. Do not mix unrelated license types, denominations or products simply because they have similar code formats. The group’s purchase cost and stock availability are separate from the service’s selling prices.
Processing and routing
The order-processing workflow can process an order that has an inventory group. Automatic supplier fallback routing, however, only moves between supplier-service mappings; it does not select an inventory group as a backup supplier.
**Expected result:** the service points to the correct inventory group and authorized fulfillment can consume suitable stock. If delivery cannot proceed, inspect active group state, available stock, order quantity and the service mapping. Do not refill stock by copying a code already assigned to a completed order.
