Change an order supplier or reset a reference

Changing an order’s API can reset its local supplier reference and return it to New. Before proceeding, confirm whether the original supplier already received or charged for the work. A local change does not cancel that external order.

Change the supplier mapping

1. Open the order and inspect its API details and activity.

2. Choose **Change API** and select one of the supplier services already configured for this product.

3. If needed, edit the product’s **Order Automation** sources first.

4. Review the target service and confirm the change.

5. Reload the order and check its connection, supplier service, status and reference.

For **Bulk Change API**, first filter the processing list to one product and select the intended orders. The action depends on both a product filter and a selection. Review item-level errors; changing one product’s mapping does not prove every selected order changed successfully.

Reference and timeout tools

The order API details can offer **Reset Ref. ID** or **Reset Retry Count**. Use the first only after reconciling the supplier’s record; it removes local reference information that normally prevents duplicate sends. Timeout retry reset applies to eligible timed-out, unfinished orders that have a supplier reference. It is not a general reset for completed orders.

**Expected result:** the order points at the intended mapped supplier service and its next step is deliberate. If a mapping is missing, correct the product sources rather than substituting an unrelated service ID. Retain the previous supplier reference in your approved operational record before a reset.
