Offer a service for free deliberately
Open the service’s the **Pricing** tab configuration. Before offering it for free, check supplier cost, client-group availability and whether fulfillment consumes paid stock or an external supplier balance.
Enable free ordering
1. Review the current selling prices and automatic pricing mode.
2. Enable **Allow Free Order** only when the giveaway or free distribution is intentional.
3. Check the affected group prices; enabling free ordering sets prices to zero and disables automatic price synchronization for the service.
4. Confirm the intended groups remain enabled and save.
5. Verify the customer-facing price and order behavior for the intended group.
Free ordering is an explicit product policy, not a method of ignoring missing supplier costs. A free sale can still create a supplier charge or consume inventory. Check the below-purchase-cost policy and fulfillment source before accepting real orders.
Return to paid pricing
Turn off Allow Free Order and inspect the restored or required prices and pricing mode before saving. The editor can retain a prior form snapshot, but do not assume an old paid configuration is correct after reopening or changing supplier mappings.
**Expected result:** the service is intentionally available at zero to the selected groups. If automatic pricing is disabled, that follows the free-order setting; turn free ordering off before choosing Service Auto Price or Global Auto Price again.
Quick Add also has an explicit zero-priced-service option. Use its reviewed preview rather than assuming all zero-cost supplier entries are safe giveaways.
