Configure new-customer registration

Use **Settings → Registration** to control new customer signups. These settings apply to customer registration, not invitations for staff who work in the admin panel.

Choose the signup flow

1. Set **New user registration** according to whether customers may create accounts.

2. Use **Disable social login** when you want to turn that customer sign-in option off. Read the label carefully: enabling this control disables social login.

3. Set **Registration Type** to **Auto** for automatic activation after verification or **Manual** when an administrator must approve access.

4. Choose **Registration Fields → All** for the full form or **Minimum** for the basic required fields.

5. Save and test a new registration in a separate customer session.

Set Default Parameters

Select the **Default Client Group** assigned after registration. Decide whether **Default API Access** should be enabled for newly registered customers. These are new-account defaults; saving them should not be treated as a bulk update of existing clients.

Verification and protection

If **WhatsApp Verification Required** is on, review the WhatsApp credit panel before opening registration to customers. **Signup Protection** can impose an allow-list, flag disposable domains, require review, or block signup. Those rules can prevent a customer from reaching the normal activation path.

A customer cannot register

Check whether registration is enabled, whether manual review is required, the verification step, and the email-domain policy. Keep the intended default group active and available. Record the customer-visible error and signup time when asking support for help; never ask the customer for a sign-in code.
