Set gateway fees and processing currency
**Processing Currency** is the currency requested from the payment provider. Choose a currency that the provider integration offers and your provider account is approved to receive. The order currency and processing currency may be different.
Add an optional customer fee
**Transaction Fee (%)** adds a percentage of the converted payment amount. **Transaction Fee (Fixed)** adds a fixed amount in the processing currency. Set either to zero when you do not want that extra fee. For example, a converted amount of 100 with a 2% fee and a fixed fee of 1 produces a gateway total of 103 before provider-specific formatting. These settings add to the checkout total; they do not configure the provider's own charges or your PayerOne subscription.
Set a custom exchange rate
**Custom Exchange Rate (1 USD)** means the number of processing-currency units equal to 1 USD. For example, entering 122 for BDT means 1 USD = 122 BDT. Leave it blank or enter 0 to use the automatic rate. A custom value must be a positive number. It does not grant permission to receive a currency your provider has not enabled.
Check the result
Save the gateway and review a fresh checkout. Confirm the order currency, processing currency, added fee, and final payment total. Do not ask a customer to pay the original order number in a different currency without checking the displayed quote. A previously selected payment can retain its saved quote, so use a new unpaid order when checking a changed rate or fee.
Where available, **Mask Description** reduces the description sent to the provider to the order or invoice reference. It does not change the checkout amount or hide your merchant identity from the provider.
