Handle an expired or invalid checkout link

A checkout link can expire or stop accepting a new payment when its order is no longer pending. Current standard checkout orders use a 30-minute payment window. Follow the countdown and instructions on the actual checkout; a provider's own payment page may have a separate expiry.

You have not paid

Return to the merchant and request a fresh checkout for the same purchase. Confirm the new amount and instructions. Do not use a receiving address or payment reference copied from an expired order.

You already sent a payment

Do not pay again yet. Give the merchant the original order reference, the payment time, amount and currency, and the provider transaction reference or crypto transaction hash. The merchant should inspect the order and transaction history before creating a replacement payment.

The order was partially paid

Expiry does not refund the amount already received. Ask the merchant to review that order and agree the next step. Creating a new order does not automatically move the earlier receipt to it.

A browser return or an invalid-link message alone cannot establish whether money was received. Use the recorded order status and payment evidence. For provider payments, the provider's processing and settlement rules continue to apply.
