Connect an AI client to PayerOne

PayerOne MCP lets a compatible AI client ask about your merchant account, orders, transactions and other approved payment activity. Available tools depend on your account and the permissions you grant.

Connect

1. Open **Developer** in the [PayerOne dashboard](https://dashboard.payerone.com/developer).

2. Copy the remote MCP server URL: `https://api.payerone.com/mcp/v1`.

3. In your compatible AI client, add a remote MCP connection using that URL and **OAuth** authentication. Follow the client’s current connection instructions.

4. Sign in to PayerOne when prompted.

5. Review the merchant account and requested permissions, deselect access you do not want to share, then approve the connection.

You do not need to paste a Merchant Token or Private Key into the AI client. The dashboard has connection guides and a [Connected apps](https://dashboard.payerone.com/mcp/connections) page.

Start with a focused question

Try “Show my recent payment transactions” or ask the AI to inspect a specific PayerOne order. Give the relevant date range, currency or order reference. Ask for recorded facts separately from an explanation or suggested next step.

Review or revoke access

Open **Connected apps** and expand **Details** for the relevant connection. Review its status, permissions, connected time, last-used time and expiry when shown. Select **Revoke** and confirm to remove that specific connection’s access. Separately authorized connections for the same app remain independent.

If authorization fails, confirm you are signed in to the intended PayerOne merchant account and that your AI client supports remote MCP with OAuth. Retry the sign-in flow or check the connection status. Do not work around an OAuth error by sharing private credentials in chat.

The MCP endpoint is for AI clients. Your website creates checkout payments through the merchant Payments API and receives payment updates through verified webhooks.
