Add, edit, or disable a payment gateway

Use **Payments → Payment Gateways** to connect your own provider account. Each saved gateway is one connection with its own credentials, name, currency, and limits. Provider account approval and the payment methods enabled by that provider still apply.

Add a gateway

1. Open the **Payment Gateway** tab and choose **Add Gateway**.

2. Select your provider and choose **Continue**.

3. Enter **Name** and **Processing Currency**, then the provider fields marked as required. Use live credentials belonging to the provider account that should receive the payments.

4. Review the optional fees and the **Limits** tab.

5. Leave **Disable** off and choose **Save Gateway**.

6. Open a fresh checkout for the order currency and customer location you expect to serve. Check that the name and quoted total are correct before sharing the checkout.

Edit or stop accepting new payments

Open an existing gateway to update its configuration and choose **Update Gateway**. Turn **Disable** on to make that connection unavailable for checkout. Updating a display name does not change the provider account credentials. Do not choose another provider type to represent an existing connection; add a new gateway for that provider.

Standalone or routed

A **Standalone** gateway is not a member of any routing policy. Add several connections for the same provider if you need a routing pool, then create a policy in **Routing Policies**. A gateway belonging to a policy is managed through that policy instead of appearing again as a separate standalone option.

Delete carefully

**Delete** removes the saved connection and also removes it from routing-policy member lists. Check the affected policies afterward, especially a policy that had only one member. For a temporary pause, use **Disable**. Keep provider details available for payments and refunds already in progress.

Deprecated settings

**Payment Gateways [Deprecated]** is a read-only view of older gateway configuration. Use the current **Payment Gateway** tab for new setup. A connection visible only in the deprecated tab should not be assumed to be offered by the current checkout.
